Alpina Design Challenge
Celebrating Emerging Colombian Talent Through Packaging Design
Project Overview
The Alpina Design Challenge was created to identify, recognize and promote emerging creative talent across Colombia.
For this special edition of Kumis Alpina, six outstanding student designers were selected to transform one of the country's most iconic products into a platform for creativity, self-expression and cultural storytelling.
Madness Studio collaborated in the development of the campaign visuals, helping bring each design to life through CGI, packaging visualization and digital production techniques that preserved the unique artistic identity of every participant.
More than a packaging project, the initiative transformed a mass-market product into a showcase for the next generation of Colombian creatives, demonstrating how design can connect education, culture and consumer brands in meaningful ways.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a cohesive visual campaign capable of showcasing six completely different artistic visions while maintaining consistency with Alpina's brand identity.
Each package needed to highlight the individuality of the selected designers while functioning as part of a unified national campaign.
The Result
The Alpina Design Challenge successfully transformed Kumis Alpina into a platform for emerging talent, giving visibility to young designers and reinforcing Alpina's long-standing commitment to creativity, education and innovation.
The project demonstrates how brands can use packaging not only as a commercial tool, but also as a vehicle for cultural expression and talent development.
