Project Overview
Some projects are important because of their scale.
Others are important because of what comes next.
Alpin Splashes was one of the first projects commissioned by Alpina and marked the beginning of a creative relationship that would continue for years across multiple campaigns, products and visual initiatives.
The objective was to refresh the visual identity of Alpin Splashes, Alpina's children's chocolate product line, through a new generation of highly detailed CGI illustrations designed for national packaging distribution.
Rather than relying on fluid simulations, every splash was individually sculpted by hand in ZBrush, allowing complete artistic control over shape, movement, texture and lighting. This approach made it possible to craft unique liquid forms that felt dynamic, playful and instantly recognizable on shelf.
The final visuals were incorporated into product packaging distributed nationwide, helping reinforce the product's visual identity while establishing a creative partnership that would later expand into numerous projects for one of Colombia's most recognized brands.
Creating believable liquid imagery is one of the most technically demanding areas of product visualization.
The challenge was to develop splash shapes that felt energetic and natural while remaining visually controlled enough to support packaging design, branding and product communication.
Every form needed to work from multiple viewing angles and maintain clarity at retail scale.
The final artwork became part of the official packaging distributed across Colombia and helped redefine the visual language of the product.
More importantly, the project established the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Alpina and Madness Studio, demonstrating how attention to detail, craftsmanship and creative execution can evolve into lasting client relationships.
